High-Capacity Gypsum Rock Crushing and Screening Units
In industrial gypsum production, the first step toward quality and plant efficiency is the proper sizing of the raw material. At IPS Makina, we design and manufacture heavy-duty crushing and screening units that reduce run-of-mine (ROM) gypsum rock to the optimum size for the calcination process.
Integrated with dust collection systems, our environmentally friendly plants are specially designed according to the required production capacity of the project and the hardness of the gypsum rock, providing a high-performance front-end processing line.
Why is the Crushing and Screening Process Important?
In order for calcination kilns to operate at maximum efficiency and achieve the desired final product quality, gypsum rock must be fed into the kiln at a specific particle size, typically 0–10 mm. Gypsum rock delivered from the quarry in large lumps is mechanically processed in the crushing and screening unit, the first stage of the plant.

Main Equipment of Our Crushing and Screening Unit
Gypsum rock crushing and screening plants engineered by IPS Makina consist of the following main components, designed for continuous 24/7 operation under demanding site conditions.
1. Vibrating Feed Hopper
This is the point where raw gypsum rock delivered by trucks or loaders first enters the system. Manufactured from heavy-duty steel construction, our feed hoppers are equipped with vibration motors that ensure a uniform and continuous flow of material to the crusher. This prevents blockages and guarantees uninterrupted plant operation.
2. Primary and Secondary Crushers (Impact / Jaw Crushers)
The most suitable crusher type is selected according to the characteristics of the gypsum rock, including moisture content, hardness, and abrasiveness.
3. High-Precision Vibrating Screens
This is the core unit responsible for classifying the crushed material into the required particle size (e.g., 0–10 mm). Our vibrating screens are designed with multiple decks according to the required production capacity, ensuring efficient material classification. Material meeting the required size is conveyed directly to the kiln feed line, while oversized material is automatically returned to the crusher through a closed-loop system.
4. Belt Conveyors
Belt conveyors provide material transfer between process units and serve as the circulation system of the plant. Designed with appropriate belt width and speed according to kiln capacity, our conveyors are equipped with belt scrapers and emergency stop switches to ensure maximum operational safety.
5. Dust Collection and Jet Pulse Filter Systems
The large amount of dust generated during crushing and screening presents a significant challenge for both environmental compliance and occupational health. High-efficiency Jet Pulse filter systems integrated at the critical points of our units capture dust directly at its source. The collected micronized dust is recovered and returned to the production process, reducing raw material losses to virtually zero.
