Fully Automatic Palletizing and Stretch Hooding Systems for Gypsum Plants

The final link in ensuring quality in the production of gypsum powder and construction chemicals is delivering the product from the factory to the construction site undamaged, protected from external factors, and in compliance with standards. At IPS Makina, we offer high-performance end-of-line solutions featuring fully automated palletizing systems and state-of-the-art stretch hooding machines that maximize your facility’s logistics and shipping efficiency.

Our automation infrastructure, which eliminates human intervention and risks associated with forklift traffic, works fully integrated with your production speed to increase pallet stability and reduce post-packaging waste to zero.

Seamless End-of-Line Integration for Superior Shipping Safety

Irregularly stacked or poorly packaged pallets can collapse during transport, leading to product loss and customer complaints. In end-of-line units designed by IPS Machinery engineers, the entire process—from the bag’s exit from the line to its readiness for shipment—is managed by interconnected smart systems.

The key technologies that ensure this process runs flawlessly are as follows:

1. Fully Automatic Palletizing (Palletizer) Systems

Our high-speed automatic palletizing systems, designed according to the facility’s production capacity and layout, ensure that your products are arranged on wooden pallets with millimeter-level precision.

  • Geometric Interlocking: Robotic or Cartesian systems place bags layer by layer using predefined algorithms (e.g., in groups of 5 or 8) so that they interlock with one another. This balances the pallet’s centrifugal force and eliminates the risk of tipping.

  • Precision Gripping: The system, which grips the bags using vacuum or mechanical pneumatic arms, ensures safe transport without damaging the packaging surface.

  • Automatic Pallet Feeding: Thanks to the pallet magazine, as a filled pallet is removed from the line, a new one is automatically fed to the stacking point without human intervention.

2. Maximum Protection with Stretch Hood (Cold Stretch) Technology

To ensure that palletized products can withstand harsh transportation and construction site conditions, we use Stretch Hooder machines, which represent the pinnacle of end-of-line technology. This technology, which does not require heat treatment (shrink), wraps a polyethylene-based flexible film around the pallet like a hood.

  • 5-Way Full Sealing: By completely wrapping the pallet from all four sides and the top, it provides 100% protection against water, moisture, and dust. Your products can remain undamaged for months in open-air storage conditions.

  • Extra Load Stability (Tensioned Wrapping): The film extends all the way down to the pallet’s wooden base and is tensioned, transforming the pallet and the product into a single rigid unit. The pallet remains intact even during the most turbulent road and sea transport.

  • Energy Savings and Safety: Since no heat (flame) is used, it poses no fire risk in the factory and consumes significantly less energy than traditional heat-shrink systems. Additionally, its transparent structure allows barcodes on the packaging to be easily read.

Advantages of IPS Machine End-of-Line Systems

  • Premium Packaging: Neatly arranged pallets that won’t tear or come apart, look stylish from the outside, and reflect your brand’s corporate quality.

  • Zero-Damage Guarantee: Loss-free delivery for export shipments and long-haul transport thanks to a combination of locked robotic stacking and tensioned stretch hooding.

  • Modular and Flexible Automation: The ability to switch between different bag weights (20 kg, 25 kg, 30 kg) and pallet sizes in seconds via the automation screen.

  • Minimal Film Consumption: The stretch hooder machine’s smart sensors automatically read the pallet dimensions and use only as much film as necessary, optimizing your packaging costs.
