Advanced Technology Packaging Units
Final products obtained through a flawless formulation on the production line truly come into their own when combined with the right packaging technology. At IPS Makina, we design and manufacture Packaging Units that are fully tailored to your facility’s daily production tonnage, market targets, and logistics needs—units that operate with high automation and adhere to a zero-dust principle.
To ensure your products reach the construction site in the exact weight, without any waste, and in a prestigious manner, we offer three different filling technologies tailored to your needs: Rotary Packaging for high capacities and Linear Packaging systems for flexible production lines.
1. Rotary Packaging Machine (Rotary Filling Systems)
These are engineering marvels of filling systems, specifically designed for gypsum plants that operate at high capacity (thousands of bags per hour) in continuous production. Operating on the principle of the machine body continuously rotating around its own axis, rotary packaging machines combine maximum speed and precision in a single unit.
- Multiple Filling Nozzles: Typically manufactured with 6, 8, 10, or 12 filling nozzles, depending on the plant’s hourly tonnage requirement. As the machine rotates, each nozzle performs its own independent filling and weighing operation.
- High-Speed Precision Weighing: Each filling station is equipped with independent electronic load cells. The system begins with rapid filling and switches to fine (slow) filling as it approaches the target weight (e.g., 25 kg), ensuring gram-for-gram accuracy.
- Automatic Bag Discharge: Once filling is complete, the vented bags are automatically tipped by pneumatic pistons at the end of the machine’s rotation cycle and transferred to the conveyor belt (bag cleaning and ironing line).
- Compact Footprint: It occupies significantly less space in the factory relative to its capacity. Thanks to integrated dust extraction channels, it keeps the work environment clean even during high-volume production.
2. Linear Packaging Machine (Sequential Filling Systems)
This is the ideal solution for facilities with medium-scale production capacities or for flexible production lines that frequently switch between different product groups (plaster, satin plaster, joint filler, etc.) throughout the day. Linear (inline) systems, based on the principle of arranging machines side by side, stand out for their ease of use and low operating costs.
- Modular Design: Can be configured side by side with 1, 2, 3, or 4 nozzles depending on production goals. If capacity expansion is required in the future, new modules can be easily added to the line.
Turbine or Pneumatic Flow Option: Depending on the particle size and flow characteristics of the chemical to be packaged, either air-driven (pneumatic) or turbine-driven filling systems are selected. - Quick Product Changeover: Thanks to the machine’s easily cleanable internal structure, there is no loss of time or material when switching between products of different colors and properties (for example, when switching from white plaster to gray adhesive).
- Easy Maintenance: The lower number of moving parts compared to rotary systems extends maintenance and overhaul intervals and makes service operations extremely practical.
Common Advantages of IPS Machine Packaging Systems
No matter which filling technology you choose, you’ll benefit from the following standards that form the foundation of IPS Machine engineering:
- Zero Waste and Recovery: An automation infrastructure that never deviates from the target weight, combined with the integration of a jet-pulse filter that recycles spilled powder back into the system.
- Seamless Automation: Real-time monitoring and reporting of all filling parameters, bag counts, and production statistics via the PLC screen (HMI).
- Heavy-Duty Durability: A reinforced steel chassis and wear plates designed to withstand the harsh and abrasive conditions of the cement and plaster industries.
