The foundations of IPS Makina rest upon a strong manufacturing culture forged through master-apprentice relationships in industrial workshops during the 1980s. This deep-rooted tradition, combined with the technical discipline of mechanical engineering and a visionary perspective, has shaped the company's current corporate structure.
The integration of academic engineering knowledge with hands-on field experience is IPS Makina's most distinctive characteristic. The workshop experience gained at an early age by Co-founder and General Manager Cemal ÜNLÜ, combined with his university education, gave rise to the engineering approach the company defines as "process mastery."
Founded in 2005, at a time when the gypsum sector was dominated by repetitive, similar systems, IPS Makina set out to develop more efficient, high-capacity and sustainable plants rather than replicating existing solutions. Through projects executed with a young and dynamic engineering team, production capacities were elevated to 1,000 tonnes/day levels in Turkey for the first time.
The developed and patented CAF technology is one of the most tangible indicators of IPS Makina's R&D-driven approach. This system, which creates a decisive competitive advantage in calcination and drying, has become a significant reference point in the industry in terms of energy efficiency and product quality.
Over time, IPS Makina has expanded its expertise into diverse fields such as construction chemicals, micronized calcite and perlite expansion plants, thereby broadening its competency in process engineering and custom machinery design.
Having relocated to its new manufacturing facility in Kahramankazan, Ankara in January 2024, the company has attained the operational capacity to simultaneously execute multiple large-scale projects, supported by its modern infrastructure and high production capability.
